Another unforgettable thing to do in Ella, the Trek to Upper Diyaluma waterfall includes some of the most scenic waterfalls in Sri Lanka. The trek includes stops at many natural pools as well as stunning mountain views. Depending on the weather and rainfall, there is also an opportunity to bathe in some of the amazing natural pools you will come across. Although this Trek is of moderate difficulty, the amazing views and photo opportunities make the experience worth the effort.
Depart from the hotel for a scenic mountain drive. Then trek to Upper Diyaluma Waterfall (approximately 45 minutes), stopping to take in the stunning sights. The Trek starts at the top of a mountain and descends to the peak of the waterfall before descending along the waterfall to its edge. Once you arrive at edge base of the waterfall, pause for a packed meal, or even bathe in the natural pools, before continuing up the mountains for further beautiful views.
